Repeat Prescriptions

Please request repeat prescriptions in writing by returning your repeat prescription slip to the surgery, or use the online ordering service.  We do not normally accept prescription requests over the telephone except in exceptional circumstances. 

Please allow 48 hours (2 working days) for issue which can then be collected at the surgery or forwarded to your local chemist for your convenience, some may offer home delivery.

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.

Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery. If this request has NOT been ordered/authorised by yourself please telephone the surgery as a matter of urgency.
